Description

The Financial Solutions Specialist is a pivotal role that requires an individual able to combine a strong financial background and experience using financial systems with excellent presentation skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing finance knowledge and systems support for our business development team; this includes building sample models and presenting key functionality relating to the Clarity Financial Planning and Reporting product set. The role offers the opportunity to work at a strategic level with many of the UK’s largest organisations and the chance to join a successful, privately held software group at an exciting time in its development.

Job Duties

• Present Clarity 6 and Clarity FSR demonstrations to prospective customers. Functional areas include:

o Group Reporting, Annual Report and Accounts creation

o Statutory reporting and filing

o XBRL

o Statutory Consolidation

o Budgeting, Planning and Forecasting

• Provide product support to the Sales Team; primarily on Clarity 6, Clarity FSR, Hyperion Essbase and Microsoft Analysis Services

• Build and enhance Clarity 6 and Clarity FSR sales demonstration software

• Build sample models and meet with potential customers to clarify their business needs

• Provide feedback to the Software Development Team on Clarity 6 and Clarity FSR functionality and enhancements

• Assist with development of proposals and responses to RFI and RFP documents

• Understand and keep up to date with competitive products and technology and communicate updates to management – leverage this understanding in presentations and demonstrations

Qualifications and Skills required for the role:

• Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA)

• Experience working as a finance team member in a mid to large size UK organisation

• Minimum of five years of related work experience

• Strong grasp of the types of financial applications that Clarity Systems implements

• Excellent customer facing skills; comfortable with presenting to and talking with senior executives

• Ability to effectively deliver technical and accounting information to a mixed audience

• Strong written communication skills for responses to proposals, RFI and RFP documents

Desirable attributes for the role:

• Skills in Hyperion Essbase and Microsoft Analysis Services

• Knowledge and experience in building OLAP databases

• Ability to gather and understand the potential customer’s requirements and convert the requirements into an effective proof of concept (POC)

• Strong business acumen; understand the link between business need and application of technology

• Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment and be self-directed

• Proven track record in working with multiple initiatives and projects at the same time

• Interest in getting involved in up and coming standards such as XBRL

• Interest in joining a rapidly evolving organisation
