My client is an oilfield services firm with $20bn + in revenue and global assets in all main operational areas of conventional and unconventional oil and gas production.
With a penchant for acquisitions and a strong track record of development of cutting edge technology, my client is a market leader in the oilfield services sector. A role has now arisen for an experienced finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CPA) to join their Senior finance team in order to lead the financial planning and analysis function for their African operations. This role is based in Paris.
The role is focused on the African continent and you will have a team of 35, with 4 direct reports, covering the area. This is a business partnering role and you will have to be extremely strategically minded and exhibit exceptional market awareness as you will be required to present to the Board quarterly whilst monitoring and dictating operations daily.
To be successful in this role you will have had strong industry experience (oilfield services, oil, gas or mining) and have extensive business and operational experience. This is a challenging role and will require you to make, change, deliver and challenge business decisions so as to dictate the strategy for the African geomarket.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills are a must (French language fluency is a distinct advantage) but the crux of the role relies on your planning and analysis experience which must have been gained in an international arena. There is an element of travel that will constitute about 10% of your time.
