With four major sites across England, Tate holds the national collection of British art from 1500 to the present day as well as international modern and contemporary art. This is an exciting time to join as Tate are embarking on their next stage of development, which will see the completion of Tate Modern and the further development of the visitor facilities and gallery spaces at Tate Britain. With all these developments, Tate aims to increase public awareness, understanding, and appreciation of this art.

Tate is seeking to appoint a Senior Management Accountant on a 12 month contract basis to cover maternity leave. The Senior Management Accountant will be responsible for taking a lead role in the financial management of Tate, providing management accounting and reporting to key stakeholders within the organisation at all levels, supporting them in budget-setting and helping them to understand their financial position. The Senior Management Accountant will also provide analysis on an ad hoc basis and for financial reporting that is used by senior stakeholders to drive strategy and business decisions

The successful candidate will:

  • be a qualified accountant.
  • have substantial experience in the provision of financial management, management accounting and analysis in a sizeable business.
  • be extremely strong interpersonally and have the confidence and flexibility to work in a busy, results-focused team and influence at senior levels.
