Finance Director - 3 days per week

Imperial College Healthcare Charity is looking for an exceptional Finance Director with an interest beyond “just” the numbers.
Not only will our new Finance Director manage the safe stewardship of our funds, they will also control the grants process ensuring our £3-4 million of annual grants are effectively implemented and responsibly managed.
You will need to be a qualified chartered accountant with commercial acumen, and ideally be very familiar with charity accounting.
You will assume a wide remit including the development and implementation of finance, investment, IT, risk management and performance measurement strategies, policies, procedures and controls. You will act as the Chief Executive’s number two, assisting with business planning, and providing advice on the Charity’s longer term business strategy.
Knowledge and sound judgement in regulatory and governance matters are required, alongside a track record in working proactively with Chief Executives and Boards to improve efficiency and outputs.
The charity has assets of around £80 million. An understanding of investment and other means of income generation are essential, and a clear view on how the finance team can best support its fundraising colleagues will be important.
This is a senior, strategic position, supporting the Chief Executive and Trustees in building an ambitious plan to fund healthcare improvement projects in central and west London.
