Deputy Chief Accountant
An opportunity has arisen to join the Financial and Capital Team in the position of Deputy Chief Accountant.
This is a challenging and diverse role within one of the NHS’s leading Foundation Trusts with a £770m turnover. You will be responsible for delivering all aspects of the Trust's financial accounting services, assisting in implementation of new financial systems and assisting with the delivery of monthly quarterly and annual financial accounts to the highest professional standards. Taking the lead for the Trust’s capital accounting, you will ensure that UCLH correctly accounts for its fixed assets according to NHS, IFRS and any other relevant governing rules, as well as contributing to the Trust’s planning process.
The Trust’s financial reporting accommodates a technical complexity which makes the degree of challenge one of the greatest to be found in the NHS.
This is a challenging role in a small but busy team, and presents an excellent opportunity for career development.
Applicants will be qualified accountants who are able to demonstrate a high degree of commitment and flexibility in addition to a high level of technical skills.
NHS experience, whilst desirable, is not essential for candidates who are able to demonstrate sufficient breadth of knowledge and skills.
