Director of Finance

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a fatal disease for which there is no effective treatment and no cure. The MND Association is looking to appoint a Director of Finance who will help to steer us through the challenging times ahead. You must be ambitious, influential, and politically astute with a background that highlights a rare mix of financial skill and inspirational corporate leadership.

You will have a clear strategic vision and a proven track record of implementing change and delivering continuous improvement and efficiency.  You must be commercially astute as you will play a key role in developing our partnerships and business relationships within the health and social care sectors. The successful applicant will proactively contribute to the strategy of the Association with an appetite and energy for the task which matches their finely tuned financial acumen.

You will be a qualified accountant with proven experience of working at a senior level in a complex finance function. You must be able to support and influence a mix of stakeholders including executive colleagues, Trustees, and our network of branches and groups. You will also provide motivational leadership and direction to the finance team.

Today there are 5,000 people living with MND in the UK. The MND Association is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland that funds and promotes global research into the disease and provides support for people affected by MND. If you have the professional skills and personal qualities to lead us as we deliver our core missions of care and research while striving to achieve a world free of MND, we would be delighted to hear from you.
