Major European Financial Services group have a requirement for an Insurance Accountant to be based in their offices near Egham, Surrey. Reporting to the FC your key responsibility as the Insurance Accountant is to manage the day to day accounting and to provide support in relation to the monthly financial regulatory reporting (FSA) and the recording of financial transactions in accordance with regulatory and Group requirements. You will also assist in preparing accounting schedules, notes and commentaries for Board meetings and in overhead analysis including the preparation of the annual departmental overhead budgets.
The Insurance Accountant will also be involved in providing assistance to the external auditors on accounting issues and in system reconciliations/enhancements and other ad-hoc projects. The ideal Insurance Accountant will have previous Insurance Experience and in return you will receive an hourly rate of between £20-£30 per hour. The contract is expected to last at least 6 months.
