Due to successive years of growth and the management’s appetite for this to continue both organically and via further acquisition, they now seek to appoint a qualified accountant who will deliver financial rigour, pro-actively lead the finance function and actively participate in all management decision making and the strategic development of the business.
There is the need for robust, timely and accurate management information and for all processes and procedures to be reviewed and, where possible, improvements made, delivering best practice and the ability for more timely, commercially driven and factually based management decision making . You will ideally be an advanced user of IT systems and able to utilise these effectively within your remit.
You will have a proven background within a leadership role, demonstrating your ability to lead, mentor and develop your small but growing team. You will also be adept at influencing others, promoting commercial change and improvement within an operational context.
In addition to the commercial business responsibility, you will take the lead on other finance related projects, company structure, tax positioning / planning, pension strategy etc. You will be responsible for managing the relationship with creditors, with the Auditors and for some interaction with customers both within commercial negotiation and in the provision of KPI information. You will be responsible for all statutory and regulatory compliance and liaison with the relevant authorities.
