Credit Controller / Finance Assistant

West Yorkshire £14000 - £16000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Credit Controller / Finance Assistant to join one of the UK's leading and fastest growing online learning and IT companies in Yorkshire.

Reporting to the Finance Team Leader you will be responsible for all aspects of credit control for each of the company's trading divisions. You will also be responsible for the daily maintenance of a number of financial reports as well as assisting in general administration duties and the occasional ad-hoc project.


Key responsibilities:

- Contacting customers and ensuring the collection of debts are within agreed terms across the business
- Continuing the progress already made in this area by suggesting and implementing agreed improvements to credit control procedures
- Liaising with other departments within the business to improve customer care levels in all divisions
- Identifying areas of concern, reporting these to divisional managers and agreeing an appropriate course of action
- Assisting both finance and HR teams with general administration duties
- Assisting the finance team leader in maintaining a number of spreadsheet based reports


Essential requirements:

- Extensive experience of credit control procedures
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Flexible attitude to both internal and external customer service


In addition to the above, experience in the following would be advantageous:

- Financial reporting skills
- Process change experience
- Experience of working with spreadsheets


The package:

- Basic salary up to £16,000 per annum depending on experience plus bonus after probation period
