The Opportunity:
• Brand new role created through the continued success of this prestigious global fixed income asset manager combined with ambitious growth plans for 2013 / 2014
• The plan is for this role to ultimately sit with the marketing and sales professionals within the business, in order to give them the comfort of having a compliance expert on hand who can provide oversight around the regulatory requirements in terms of marketing materials / presentations / RFPs / factsheets / podcasts etc.
•You will be responsible for participating in meetings with existing AND potential clients and investors
• You will also be required to provide compliance monitoring & advisory support to other areas of the business when required as you form part of a larger compliance function. However, it is envisaged that the compliance oversight / advice to the sales & marketing teams will be your main focus, especially considering this firms aggressive plans to increase AuM, especially within the institutional space
• This role is very visible within the firm and you will have a large number of touch-points with senior stakeholders
• Other key responsibilities will be to strengthening processes in light of RDR, ensuring effective compliance of the corporate website to ensure adherence with relevant regulations and marketing rules etc.

Your Experience:
• You will have a strong record of academic achievement
• Solid all round compliance experience from the buy-side is essential, ideally combined with relevant industry related qualifications
• You will have a strong understanding of FSA regulations and be commercially minded
• With your depth of knowledge you will able to demonstrate an appreciation of up and coming legislative changes effecting the asset management industry, including AIFMD, MiFID 2, FATCA, and knowledge of US CFTC and SEC ESG requirements would be helpful
• It is likely that within your current or previous roles you will have had a distinct focus on providing compliance advice to marketing departments and will have a knowledge of KIID documentation and procedures
• You will be able to demonstrate an ability to forge strong working relationships with other internal departments and senior stakeholders. This will require you to have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to present to senior management
• Ability to work with minimal guidance and supervision, as well as undertake a number of tasks and projects concurrently
