As a result of some internal movement, a position has arisen for a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with good financial reporting experience, and an understanding of complex IFRS group consolidations of a UK listed PLC, to join their Group Finance team.
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller you will be tasked with leading a team of 2 qualified accountants and support of overseas finance staff. Your primary responsibility will be for group accounting and reporting processes to ensure timely closing of group and subsidiary books and compliance with IFRS, local GAAP and group accounting policies.
You will liaise internally with all staff in London and senior management at the overseas asset sites so as to communicate financial and accounting information to the Finance Director and CFO.
Key responsibilities include taking ownership of the month end group close process, setting out an annual timetable to ensure delivery of external reporting and completion and/or review of more complex accounting entries for some Group entities.

Oil and gas, or natural resources, experience is preferential but they will consider candidates with strong IFRS backgrounds from a FTSE business.
