Investment Accountant - 6 Month Contract
A qualified accountant with strong experience of external financial reporting for financial institutions is required to help prepare the published annual accounts. It is essential applicants have experience of preparing draft published accounts of a fund or financial institution, strong knowledge of IFRS applicable to financial institutions (familiar with developments in standards and best practice), supporting audit and review processes, applying intensive quality assurance standards, thorough knowledge of the IFRS principles of income recognition and valuation applied to major investment instruments (particularly fixed income securities, equities, private equity, alternatives, repurchase agreements, securities lending, collateral management and derivatives such as interest rate swaps) and be a practised user of spreadsheet and/or report writing tools to draft accounts documents in a controlled and efficient way.
Experience of working within an investment management environment is essential.
