The role of Audit Manager at Kent County Council is a fantastic opportunity for you to join one of England’s largest authorities and play a crucial role in the delivery of an excellent Internal Audit Service.
At the time of great change within the Council and the public sector, you will play an essential role in supporting the Council’s continuing aspiration to ensure good governance, sound controls and effective risk management.
Through regular liaison with Directors and other senior officers in the Council, you will manage a team of auditors that deliver high quality internal audits across the Council.
We are seeking a qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience including internal audit experience in the public or private sector. You will need to have experience of managing a team, good influencing and communication skills and the ability to recommend practical solutions to governance and control issues.
