As Project Accountant reporting into the head of the department, your key responsibilities will involve identifying and facilitating key financial projects in conjunction with the Financial Services department and Commercial teams. Ensuring the department supports core functions through continual improvements of how financial data is captured, processed, reported and used in the business whilst working in the most effective way is key to facilitating our aim of being best in class. Key areas will involve:
·Embedding best practice and ensuring business controls are in place to deliver sound financial information to the Business Units.
·Evaluating areas of improvements within Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Deductions to deliver appropriate solutions to the business; from project implementation through to completion.
·Liaising with key stakeholders in the different Business Units/Commercial teams to understand their requirements from an accounting angle.
· Ensure Month End procedures are accurately completed including Forecasting, Reporting, Reconciliations and more.
You’ll be a Qualified Accountant in CIMA, ACCA or ACA with a robust and proven track record of project accounting including a specific focus within Financial Services. Your sound knowledge of financial accounting principles matched with a firm grasp of business needs is key to drive functions towards excellence. Your other attributes will include:
· The ability to get buy-in from senior stakeholders.
· Solid networking skills to manage relationships with business partners.
· An inherent ability to leverage the Business Units to achieve common goals.
Good analytical and mathematic skills will complement your knowledge of MS Office, SAP and project experience.
