Tate is one of the UK’s most prestigious brand-name arts organisations. Their aim is to increase public awareness, understanding and appreciation of British Art from the 16th Century to the present day, and of 20th Century international painting and sculpture. Tate’s galleries include Tate Britain, Tate Modern, Tate Liverpool and Tate St. Ives, and the organisation is the subject of ongoing capital investment and development.
Working as part of a job share you will support budget holders with the other post holder, within both creative and administrative areas. Tate has a budget of £60m and 50 budget holders. In partnership, you will promote financial management at Tate and support decision-making at all levels, implement and co-ordinate systems to gather and monitor key performance measures and provide financial and non-financial information to trustees, divisional directors, budget holders, project managers and external funders.
A qualified accountant with proven communication skills, excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, you will also possess strong technical skills. Working knowledge of financial reporting packages and Excel is essential. You will be passionate about Tate and its aims, as well as of those of the wider arts sector.
