The School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) is a registered charity and its mission is to address inequalities and social exclusion by supporting social entrepreneurs from all backgrounds to transform their talent into real social outcomes.
SSE has a vacancy for a finance controller to be responsible for the overall financial management, and the financial reporting systems of the charity.
The role would suit a qualified accountant who wished to take on part-time work, and who had experience in preparing management reports for Boards, showing actual trading activities, comparisons with the approved budget and an appropriate analytical commentary for the Board.
The right candidate will also have good Excel spreadsheet skills, an ability to work with ‘non-finance’ staff budget-holders, be an excellent communicator with an ability to communicate financial information clearly to colleagues with less financial understanding.
