The Financial Accounting Advisory Services team are looking to recruit a number of Executives to join the team.
The team are interested in hearing from people who possess excellent technical and insurance management industry experience and expertise. You must also possess knowledge in the advisory space and show clear evidence of previous insurance experience.
You'll have the opportunity to join a rapidly growing team in the Financial Services sector. The insurance team works with the largest and most respected players in the Life and General Insurance industry, as well as with organisations in the Lloyds market. We are particularly involved in IFRS conversion assignments, the financial reporting implications of Solvency II, introduction of XBRL and post acquisition accounting support.
Your responsibilities as an Insurance Manager will include:
*Working effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support and
maintaining communication
*Managing a small team and counselling a number of Executives and Associates
*Assisting in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties
*Conducting performance reviews and contributing to performance feedback for staff
*Maintaining the educational program to continually develop personal skills.
Qualifications/skills you'll need as an Insurance Manager:
*A qualification in Accountancy
*Audit/Accountancy degree or equivalent (2:1 and above)
*Audit and accounting background in financial services
*Previous work to include UK Market experience
*Good understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS
*Assertive and proactive approach to the delivery/implementation of projects
*Ability to network effectively within large organisations and build relationships with individuals
and clients
*Strong interpersonal skills: written, presentation and influencing
*Analytical capability and attention to detail.
