Community Foundation for Surrey is an independent charitable trust established to raise the level of giving for those in need. Part of a national network of Community Foundations, one of the fastest growing philanthropic movements in the UK, we are dedicated to strengthening communities by building permanent funds that will make a genuine difference to the lives of local people.
In this key role for the Foundation, you will provide a range of financial and investment services including recording and reconciling all financial records, providing monthly and quarterly accounts and managing the Foundation’s assets. You will also prepare draft year-end accounts for submission to the Finance and Investment Committee and liaise with the Foundation’s auditors. You will be supported by and manage a part-time Book Keeper.
A qualified or part qualified accountant with excellent IT skills, you must also be a superb communicator, able to build good relationships with a wide range of people. Meticulous attention to detail is essential, along with an enthusiastic outlook and the ability to work well under pressure. Sage, Excel and database experience required.
