Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Reporting to the Senior Manager of International Finance, the primary responsibilities of this position are to ensure that foreign entities within the Europe region are compliant with all local financial statutory regulations, and provide guidance and assistance to the business units in support of new/emergent international business opportunities.
  • Leading and managing multiple projects for assigned countries, including the ability to review, analyze, and validate financial statements, coordinating and overseeing international statutory audits, and leading inter-entity agreement creation and updates.
  • Developing effective working relationships and communication with key stakeholders and business unit focals, including liaising closely across functions such as Tax, Treasury, Law and Accounting.
  • Providing integration across the region, working with responsible local business unit accountants and third-party providers (as necessary).
  • Using expertise, this position will also lead cross-functional projects within assigned region to address risks, improve processing effectiveness and efficiency, etc.
  • Participate in enterprise-wide Finance Systems implementation team, as necessary, as an international accounting subject matter expert.
  • Will work closely with an in-region Regional Finance Leader, supporting cross-regional and enterprise-wide finance and business initiatives.
  • Will also support all businesses within assigned region to ensure statutory compliance, utilizing knowledge and expertise of local statutory and regulatory requirements, to enable new/emergent business, ensuring ongoing business operations are compliant, and supporting business closes out.
  • Collecting and analyzing data gathered to support new and expanding business development activities, extracting and validating key information on business plans from programs and key functional inputs to draw conclusions and/or summarize guidance and proposed operating models for compliant business operations.
  • Will work with Corporate Tax and Corporate Office to develop plans and implement legal entity optimization for new entities, liquidations, and consolidations.
  • Successful candidate will take ownership of assigned processes and key deliverables, working through to resolution with initiative and purpose.

You should be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Experience with international finance concepts such as Value Added Tax, Transfer Pricing, and intercompany agreements/accounting
  • Ability to effectively work in cross and multi-functional teams
  • Ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects
  • Ability to provide guidance on cross-border finance and business transactions

Basic Qualifications for Consideration

Do you have knowledge of international statutory compliance requirements, including secondment and service agreements?

Do you have experience with legal entity opening and liquidations?

Do you have experience working on cross-functional teams?

Do you have experience in a previous role where data analysis, report writing and attention to detail have been paramount?

Do you have experience working with or managing third-party accounting providers and completing audits? 

Typical Education/Experience:

Extensive experience of direct international finance experience
Degree educated or equivalent experience required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.

Other job related information

Requires ability to support off-hour (evenings/weekend) meetings and calls, with significant interaction with US counterparts, and within region. Up to 20% travel possible, based on projects.
