The University of Greenwich has a growing reputation for teaching and research excellence. As one of the largest universities in the capital, we are widely recognised for the quality of our learning and teaching, and the experiences our students enjoy. Our research is regularly acknowledged as among the best in the world. Recently, we were rated as one of the Top 10 greenest universities in the country by the People & Planet.

We are also investing in our future through our wonderful new building at Stockwell Street in the centre of Greenwich. Other major estates, IT, recruitment, marketing, finance, student and staff initiatives are planned.

If you recognise this commitment to excellence and ambition and would like to contribute your expertise and energy, we encourage you to apply for this leadership role within our Finance Directorate that is central to supporting the University in achieving its strategic objectives.

The Assistant Director of Finance (Management Information) role is focused on financial planning, budgetary control, financial information, reporting and advice to senior managers.

You will have a key role to play in developing the University’s budget and financial plans, and the provision of quality management information. Experience of higher education finance would be an advantage.

The post-holder will be a qualified accountant with experience of working in complex organisations, and able to work with and influence senior managers across the organisation and to contribute to the work of the University. High level report writing skills are required for both roles.

For informal discussion about either post, contact Reginald Daly, Director of Finance at r.v.daly@gre.ac.uk to arrange a time for the discussion.
