Due to continued business growth organically and by acquisition ForFarmers are relocating their office from Ipswich to new purpose built offices in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. In the role of Credit Controller you will be working within a fast-paced and high volume credit control department, you will play a vital role in the cash-flow of the organisation, ensuring customer accounts are monitored and controlled effectively.
This role will include maintaining your own ledger and responsibility for the customer accounts, with key duties encompassing: credit checking accounts and releasing orders for customers on referrals; investigating and recording queries from internal and external stakeholders; maintaining paperwork; running debtor reports for month end; and key will be chasing customers by telephone, email and letter to reduce debtor days.
The successful candidate will possess credit control experience and excellent customer service skills. A professional, friendly and diplomatic customer-focused approach will be essential combined with an excellent telephone manner. Strong attention to detail, an investigative mind-set, plus the ability to work under pressure in an accurate and timely manner will be key.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook is required along with an enthusiastic approach to learning new systems and processes.
