A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or other equivalent qualification) to work as a Finance Officer for a leading charity organisation - Citizens Advice East End ,
Citizens Advice East End is an organisation formed by the merger of Hackney, Newham & Tower Hamlets Citizens Advice offices.
The post is full time 35 hours per week (28 hours/four days a week will be considered)
Salary – £32,823 per annum, pro rata if working part time (salary under review)
(Occupational Pension available- 3% Employer contribution).
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Finance Officer will be responsible for the day to day management of finances, preparing management accounts, coordinating payroll, paying out invoices, invoicing external organisations, maintaining fixed asset register, liaising with a whole range of stakeholders and local Citizens Advice offices and the staff team, entering financial data, preparing and working against budgets, preparing year end Accounts in accordance to UK accounting standards, building up reserves, developing financial management systems and continual Service improvement plans.
This is a standalone hands-on and strategic role, working very closely with the CEO. It is essential that the individual has previous experience of managing Finances for a large organisation.
You will also need to have exceptional customer service and communication skills as well as an analytical approach to problem solving. The successful candidate will need to have recognised Accountancy qualifications, a minimum of 2 years working as an Accountant for an organisation, possess excellent knowledge and experience of financial management. They would need to be experienced on Quick books and have knowledge of VAT.
