Greater London Authority
£66,845 per annum
The GLA is looking for an experienced financial professional to undertake a new senior manager role in its internal finance unit. The role has arisen as a direct result of the extensive devolution of housing and regeneration functions from Whitehall to the Mayoralty in recent years.
You will lead a small team responsible for:
- Providing high quality financial support across all of the GLA’s Housing & Land directorate;
- Preparing and monitoring the Authority’s capital programme and budget; and
- Updating financial forecasts for the GLA trading company, GLA Land and Property Limited.
You will have full membership of a professional accountancy body, significant experience of capital budgeting – and the types of projects which underpin those budgets – in the public or private sectors in a similar role, and would see this as an opportunity to extend your experience in a challenging and high profile public sector organisation.
You will also have a good degree of political awareness and be adept at managing a small team of professionals working to tight deadlines and liaising with colleagues at all levels in the organisation, including Deputy Mayors and Executive Directors.
We are committed to being an inclusive employer and we are happy to consider flexible working arrangements. We would welcome applications from candidates who are seeking part time work as this role is open to job share.
In addition to a good salary package, we offer an attractive range of benefits including 30 days’ annual leave, interest free season ticket loan, interest free bicycle loan, childcare voucher scheme and a career average pension scheme.
If you have a question about the role or the recruitment process, then please contact a member of the recruitment team via email on firstname.lastname@example.org quoting reference GLA2164.
