A career at MI5 is like no other. It’s our mission to keep the country and its people safe. Not only does it make working here rewarding, it also provides a variety unlike anywhere else. Combined with our supportive and flexible working environment, it’s the reason most of our people stay for a substantial part of their careers.

As a Finance Business Partner you will responsible for MI5’s spend and income. You will play a critical role making sure the organisation manages its money effectively. This is an opportunity to work within a unique finance community that provides dedicated support and ensures we make the most of our resources. We will help develop your personal, professional and technical skills, through both internal training and external courses.

Leading a small team, you will help deliver better value for money and offer financial advice to senior managers and key budget holders. Your role will be to deliver precise management information to enable decision-making, ensure efficiency targets are met and provide financial reporting and forecasting. It’s an exciting time to join us, as you will work collaboratively with colleagues across the UK intelligence community.

To join, you will be a qualified or part-qualified CCAB (part qualified equates to attaining CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management accounting or the ACCA fundamentals level). Experience in managing and optimising information form ERP systems would be a distinct advantage. You will also know how to build trusted working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, who might have competing priorities. With a positive, pragmatic attitude, you may need to apply novel solutions to overcome unique problems.
