Actuarial Development Program (ADP)
ADP is a Unum Group global program that develops technically proficient actuarial talent, offering comprehensive exam support and providing a foundation for movement into leadership roles within Finance. We are advertising for 2 ADP positions.
What you will be doing...
Assisting in Actuarial activities as required.
Actively develop knowledge in Unum Actuarial activities.
Undertake ad hoc Actuarial project work as required.
Training and scheduling of work to ensure that team objectives are achieved and the team becomes a multi-disciplined and flexible workforce.
Ensure that all documentation on work and processes within the team is complete and up to date.
Find better ways of performing the team’s work and then make recommendations and successfully implement if the changes are approved.
Ensure the continued protection of Unum’s information, by following all applicable Information Security policies and procedures and by reporting suspected weaknesses in information security controls to the Information Security Officer.
Understand how Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and Risk Management relate to both your own role and your divisional activities and highlight any opportunities for improvement

A video interview with a Business leader and graduated ADP associate
One day assessment centre, held at our Dorking office, this will include a series of exercises and interviews, along with a lunch or dinner where you will meet some of the senior leadership team.
We are looking for…
For the Actuarial Development Program (ADP) you must have a minimum of a 2:1 degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics with a Mathematical or statistical element and at have gained an 'A' grade or above in A level Mathematics. We are looking for applicants straight from university for this role to train as an Actuary. The role comes with fully funded study package.
Other Skills…Excellent communication skills are essential, together with a professional approach and a positive and enthusiastic attitude. A team player, you work in a co-operative and supportive way for the benefit of the team, understanding how your actions impact on other team members or goals and how they affect the bigger picture. In addition, you must be organised with a meticulous attention to detail, capable of solving problems of all sizes.
