A large independent firm based in North London are looking for a part time Tax Client Administrator. The firm have a varied portfolio of clients from most business sectors, including the entertainment industry, property and charity sectors. This is a great opportunity for someone with relevant experience in tax.

The Role

  • Assisting the Tax Team with day to day administrative tasks and ad hoc duties
  • Assisting with new client set up, including preparing engagement letters and obtaining KYC documents
  • Maintaining KYC
  • Preparation of forms 64-8, NRLi and other client forms, and drafting letters to clients to send
  • Submission of forms 64-8 etc to HMRC
  • Requesting online authorisation from HMRC
  • Setting up clients on Alphatax
  • Preparation of monthly Alphatax reports, new client reports and Tax Return progress reports
  • Assisting with the organisation of routine and non-routine client and third-party communications, including mail merges, email merges, letters and emails
  • Performing the administrative tasks as required in the tax compliance process including dealing with client correspondence, sending out tax returns and acknowledging data exchange
  • Assisting with the billing process
  • Assisting with monitoring WIP
  • Assisting with managing the Personal Tax client list
  • Client database management including data entry and updating client information
  • Dealing with incoming client emails and post from clients
  • Assisting with the monitoring of incoming HMRC post
  • Assisting with client disengagement include sending disengagement letter and final fee note to the clients
  • Maintaining a Tax Team training log, organising webinars
  • Organising and maintaining diaries and making appointments

The Candidate

  • Relevant experience in tax
  • Ability to multitask whilst maintaining a high standard of work
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good IT skills
