Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant
TaxAssist Accountants is a nationwide network of independently owned accountancy practices. At TaxAssist Accountants in Goldenacre, Edinburgh, we are fast approaching the end of our first year providing a dynamic and customer focused accountancy service. We must be doing something right because we have in excess of 100 clients on our books already... and we add more customers almost every day. Why do new customers keep coming through the doors? Well, we believe that the accounts are just a given - the very minimum a customer can expect is an accurate set of accounts. We think in a different way - we think about the customer first, what they need and want and how we can deliver that for them, how we can help them with their business, their tax position and perhaps even how they might enjoy being our customer. We work with a massive variety of small business customers and personal tax payers. Our customers are limited companies, sole traders, partnerships and there are lots of them. We help our customers with all their accounting needs but also offer help and advice when they need it as well as being a business friend they can turn to if they need help. Given that we continue to grow we have a vacancy for a qualified or part qualified accountant. Our new team member needs to be able to hit the ground running specifically producing accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders. Our new team member will also produce Self Assessment Tax Returns, work on VAT, help out with payroll and maybe even complete some bookkeeping; that's because although we're a growing business we are still a small practice. It's also vitally important that our new team member has customer service skills. They will be meeting and greeting customers who drop into our office, speaking customer on the 'phone and dealing with questions and queries by email. So, from our description you can see the job is busy, demanding, dynamic, fun, developmental, stretching and many other things. Above all, though, our new team member needs to be able to take the initiative and work under their own steam. Of course, there is help and support but, on occasion, they will just have to get on with things. We believe the role will suit a part qualified or newly qualified accountant looking for their first role in general practice. Alternatively our new team member will already be working in practice but looking to expand their role and gain exposure to a wide range of businesses and their differing needs. If you like the sound of this role and you'd like to put your name into the hat we need you to call us in the first instance. We'll tell you more when you call. By the way... don't delay. We have a vacancy now and we're looking to fill it as soon as we find the right person.
