Could you own the day-to-day operational management of our recently formed Performance Reporting team?
A sub-tropical island of spectacular and beautiful landscapes in the South Atlantic with a warm and friendly population of 4,500, St Helena is a self-governing overseas territory of the UK. It’s now poised for transformation with the recent opening of a brand new international airport offering scheduled commercial air access.
Supporting the Government’s annual strategic planning and budgeting programme through financial analysis and appraisal of policy options, spending proposals and spending plans, you will review and implement changes and produce monthly management accounts. You will also present regular performance reports.
This will require building working relationships with key stakeholders. You will mentor your team members who will rely on your strong and enlightened leadership in scrutinising and challenging directorate spend, policy and spending.
You must be a CIMA or CCAB qualified accountant or equivalent with current membership and up to date CPD record. Experience must cover working in the Public Sector, producing Management Accounts, team management, pulling together a yearend audit file and dealing directly with External Auditors carrying out the Financial Statement audit.
Secondments from public sector organisations and Accountancy firms are welcomed.
