As the leading relationship support provider, Relate help over a million people each year with information, support and counselling to strengthen their relationships. We provide counselling and sex therapy to individuals and couples, as well as counselling for children and young people. And we campaign to see relationship support for children, adults and families at the heart of the social justice agenda.

We operate in a highly competitive market against a backdrop of significant change but our organisation doesn’t stand still and we have adapted to social trends. In addition to the network of counsellors working at 600 locations, we have shifted to offer relationship support by phone, email, webcam and Live Chat.

This is a hugely exciting time for us as we continue on a transformational journey and we now seek a new Director of Finance and Corporate Resources to join our Executive Leadership Team (ELT). You will be responsible for the strategic leadership, development and management of Relate’s corporate resources directorate within the context of a changing organisational structure. You will provide leadership and direction to the ELT in terms of financial planning, performance and risk management, ensuring the development and implementation of a robust organisational strategy and associated financial plan that aligns with Relate’s vision, mission and values.

This is a critical senior appointment requiring an experienced strategic leader with a proven track record in a senior finance and corporate resources role, with the ability to operate within a constantly changing and complex environment. This is a national leadership role, and requires a financially qualified, credible senior leader to drive us through change and transformation. We’re open to what sector you come from; but whatever your background, you will need confidence, outstanding communication skills and the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
