A specialist Industrial Services company based in West Thurrock, Essex seek an experienced Payroll Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, the role of Payroll Manager is as follows:

  • Manage all aspects of a weekly payroll of ~ 500 employees
  • RTI reporting and CIS returns
  • Calculation of tax and NIC contributions
  • Processing / dealing with Sick Pay, Maternity and Paternity Pay
  • New Starter Information
  • Good experience of Construction Industry pay agreements
  • Improve payroll management information reporting

The Candidate

  • Strong large payroll experience in a Construction sector context
  • Strong IT skills including strong Excel skills and good working knowledge of IRIS payroll software
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Able to work effectively under their own initiative and as part of a team
