Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Financial Controller to join an exciting Technology company experiencing huge growth based in Cheltenham. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:

£45,000 - £55,000 plus excellent benefits

Role responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  • Produce periodic reports to management, the Board and investors on finances, company performance, control systems, related procedures, risks and opportunities. Assist the CEO in preparing yearly budgeting and cash flow forecasts and subsequently perform ongoing monitoring to identify and address any deviations promptly
  • All operational tasks and bookkeeping related to producing monthly management accounts for the company
  • Liaise with company accountants in preparing draft year-end financial accounts prior to audit and overseeing the audit process including liaising with external auditors
  • Manage purchase and sales ledger to ensure efficient capital management
  • All company filing including HMRC returns, R&D tax credits, Companies House returns and VAT returns
  • Create processes, KPIs and reporting to ensure that the business has appropriate and adequate control of all financial, operational and risk management aspects including compliance
  • Work with the CEO and any specialist advisers to develop a funding and investment strategy, maximising growth and future valuation and ensuring that the company can secure its strategic corporate finance goals
  • Ongoing project work




Person specification:
  • Qualified with at least 3 years PQE
  • Currently operating at a similar level with good technical knowledge
  • Excellent Excel, MS office and accountancy software skills
  • A proven track record of building and developing effective working relationships, excellent communication and good problem-solving skills
  • Experience of delivering concise and accurate reports to internal and external stakeholders to strict deadlines
  • Working with a structured and methodical approach to tasks and able to identify risks and recommend appropriate actions to mitigate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm and with a sense of humour
  • Self-motivated and proactive in seeking out answers
