Cassons are a firm of chartered accountants, tax and business advisers, with offices in Haslingden and Manchester that currently operate with 9 partners and over 60 members of the team.
The firm are looking to appoint a Business Support Adviser (Management Accountant) to join their Haslingden office as they continue to grow their client base.
The firm have been established for over eighty years and work with clients based across the North West and further afield, including clients who have overseas operations and some with over parents companies.

The firm don’t just deal with their client’s compliance but also take the time to understand their client’s business and sector, understanding all of the opportunities and issues facing their business and to ensure they can assist them with any commercial decisions they need to take.
Your new role
As a Business Support Adviser (Management accounts) you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and providing a range of management accounting support to these clients within the agreed timescales and budgets. The department’s provides a range of outsourcing accounting and bank office functions for clients. The clients range includes international organisations, retail and manufacturing business with turnovers of up to £20m.
Your day to day duties will include: preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts and trial balances; providing commentary on the accounts and producing client KPIs whilst taking into consideration forecasting and budgeting; producing working papers for annual accounts production; providing bookkeeping services; processing VAT returns; EC Sales lists and other interstate reports. Your clients will use a broad range of accounting software’s including cloud based software and in this role you will become a Xero accredited user.
What you'll need to succeed
The firm are looking to appoint an experienced business support advisor (management accountant) who has proven knowledge of management accounts, bookkeeping and accounting principles including VAT. As you will manage a portfolio of clients you must be able to demonstrate a strong client focus, good communication skills and the proven ability to identify and make process improvements and efficiencies. The firm use a broad range of software so you must be computer literate and any prior working knowledge of cloud based software would be preferable.

In return for your commitment you will be offered:
- Highly competitive salary of £20000 - £30000
- 37 hour working week, flexi time with core hours of 9.30am to 4:00pm, part time hours will be consider (minimum 26 hours per week)
