The Commercial Finance Analyst role
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, you’ll be the ‘go to’ person and financial expert for the Commercial Team. You’ll understand the income and cost drivers in running a 20,000-product portfolio across a mixed retail/mail order buisness. You’ll work closely with the Commercial and Supply Chain Teams to gain a clear understanding of the profit impact of change proposals and make credible recommendations based on your analysis. Monitoring ongoing category performances and identify risks and opportunities. You’ll support the wider Kingfisher Group’s unified strategy, building business cases, and evaluating impacts to the business. Collaborating with the Financial Planning team, you’ll construct budgets and accurate forecasts.
The skills you need as a Commercial Finance Analyst
You’re a qualified Finance analyst with ‘blue chip’ commercial or multi-site experience. You come from a retail or consumer- facing business where you have provided key decision support analysis. Numeracy is key for this role. We need someone who can model complex sets of numbers and is an advanced user on excel. You’ll have handled thousands of SKU’s, hundreds of suppliers, or multiple categories! Not only are you a whizz at analysing data, you’re skilled in conveying this into a meaningful story. We need someone who can spot errors instinctively and isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo. Asides from all this, you love to be organised and always meet tight deadlines.
