Bookkeeper - Norwich



AJ Chambers are currently working with a Top 30 firm of chartered accountants in Norwich who are looking for a Bookkeeper to work with their varied portfolio of clients.



The ideal candidate will be driven, with a keen eye for detail, and should have at least two years' experience in an accountancy practice.



Duties:

  • Reconciling balance sheet items including bank & cash accounts, VAT ledgers and sales & purchase ledgers
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Summarising and analysing expenses
  • Posting client records to bookkeeping software
  • Preparation and submission of CIS returns
  • Payroll and RTI compliances when required
  • Client liaison and visiting client premises
  • Assisting with the preparation of year-end statutory accounts
  • Dealing with ad-hoc queries that arise from your main duties

 

 

 


Requirements:

 

 

 

  • At least two years' experience working in an accountancy practice
  • Experience dealing with a range of Bookkeeping software
  • You must be comfortable liaising with clients, visiting premises and dealing with enquiries
  • Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team
