FP&A Manager - Swindon - Permanent

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to define and shape the future financial strategy for this global brand. You will have responsibility for co-ordinating activity relating to the company’s mid-term and long term strategic financial plan, primarily focused on investment, 3 year rolling forecast for mid term planning and strategic planning up to ten years focused on future strategy.

This role is the interface between their strategic functions such as Business Planning, and the Finance team. You will require a high level of adaptability / analytical skill to understand the future financial position of the organisation. There is wide scope to develop the role and position to enable accurate long-term financial planning using advanced analytical techniques and development of new systems.

Main responsibilities:

  • Providing strategic financial guidance to key stakeholders from non-financial functions
  • Manage New Model in house cost per unit calculation
  • Lead budget process for Investment (Capex)
  • Member of relevant appraisal committees (investment, engineering, layout etc.)

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Degree qualified and Qualified Accountant - ACA/ ACCA/CIMA
  • Demonstrable experience of mid-term and long-term financial planning in large complex organisations
  • Proven ability to add operational value through management accounting techniques, analysis and guidance
  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills at all levels
  • Proven track record in financial leadership within a large, fast paced organisation
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing/engineering organisation would be beneficial but not essential
  • Experience working with SAP would be beneficial
  • Advanced Excel skills
