This fast growing Liverpool practice is looking for an ambitious Audit & Accounts Manager
This Liverpool based public practice accountancy firm is seeking an ACCA/ACA Qualified Accountant to join their independently owned practice. This Audit & Accounts Manager Job in Merseyside is suitable for an ACCA accountant currently working in a public practice accountancy firm, our client would also consider accountants who are suitably qualified by experience. The role is geared approx. 60% accounts and 40% audit, working within a friendly team with high levels of technical capability.
This exceptional firm is looking for an individual with a skill set incorporating both Accounting & Audit and the role will provide an ideal platform to obtain RI status. With significant exposure to International Audit work you will advise a mixed client portfolio on all aspects of their auditing, accounting, and business requirements. You will ideally have knowledge of the accounting and tax compliance requirements for small businesses', as well as delivering audit work to large corporate entities.
This fast growing Liverpool practice offers Accountancy, Audit and Tax Advisory services along with access to an interesting client base. The client base includes Limited companies, Owner managed businesses and HNW individuals across Merseyside, along with some internationally owned subsidiaries.
The main responsibilities of this Audit & Accounts Manager will be;
- Accounts preparation for a wide range of business entities
- Reviewing the work of a team of junior and Semi Senior accountants within the practice
- Taking responsibility for the planning and completion of audits, including some large and complex groups
- Managing the day to day audit process requirements of the firm, including responsibility for working to recovery targets
- Working closely with the Partners to ensure quality of output and efficiency of process
The perfect Audit & Accounts Manager will be ACCA/ACA qualified with a minimum of 5 years' experience of working within a busy public practice accountancy firm (some within Audit). Confidence in communicating with clients at all levels is imperative, along with a strong desire to exceed service expectations. You will need to be able to plan, lead and complete on audits, including being confident with group consolidations. Leadership skills are required to manage and develop a team of technical staff, whilst looking after a portfolio of clients.
.A technically strong Senior Manager, with exceptional Client Management skills you will be looking to position yourself as a future Partner. This role would suit a Senior Accountant or Audit Senior looking to progress into a more challenging role or an existing Accounts Manager/ Audit Manager looking for more diversity and autonomy within their role.
