Robert Half Finance and Accounting are looking for a Compliance Manager for a dynamic utilities organisation based in Newport.
The role will come with a high degree of autonomy, and will be integral to a dynamic and ambitious organisation.
You will maintain an understanding of relevant regulatory requirements, including but not limited to: MAR, REMIT, ETR, EMIR, MiFID II, and DPA (GDPR); ideally with a view to taking on the role of Data Protection Officer. To be able to provide advice and guidance to stakeholders, enabling them to implement compliant policies and procedures, whilst being aware of their roles and responsibilities.
Provide regular training to employees on compliance matters, such as MAR and GDPR, setting the tone for the application of standards and guidelines for internal policies and procedures. Whilst promoting and enhancing a strong compliance culture, with a key focus on regulatory compliance.
Be confident with Senior Manager level engagement, with particular reference to:
Establishing a Compliance Committee
Chairing Incident and Breach meetings
Interfacing with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO), the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Regular sessions with external consultants
Assist with developing and implementing a risk-based compliance monitoring programme, identifying, assessing, monitoring and reporting all material compliance risks across the business.

Salary from £45,000 to £65,000 depending on experience with a highly generous bonus of 18% and exceptional benefits.
