We are looking to appoint a committed, professional and enthusiastic person to the role of Finance Assistant within the Client Debt Team. Previous experience in Credit Control would be preferable, together with good communication and negotiation skills.
The role involves communicating with clients, clients’ representatives, and others, both internally & externally, with regard to debt owed to Hertfordshire County Council. This will include various communication methods encompassing the relevant content to ensure that queries are resolved and payment received, taking into account client confidentially.
An organised approach is needed as a case tracking system must be maintained to ensure that a systematic method is adhered to.
The role will require you to have in depth knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook, together with a basic understanding of finance. The ability to prioritise workloads and deal with queries and requests promptly is essential.
A confident approach is required and the ability to work well as part of a team is essential.
