Finance Business Partner

Robert Half are delighted to be working with a global communications solutions provider to assist in finding a Finance Business Partner. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, this role will be varied with management of a small team across two sites, strategic oversight and contribution to business partnering, planning, reporting, oversight of core finance and month end responsibilities.

Routine /Key responsibilities
  • To be responsible for the financial reporting for the sites under supervision, ensuring accuracy and in a timely fashion in line with the company accounting policies
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the company, developing, shaping and achieving core business plan objectives
  • Provide information and advice to support the site MD and any other persons that the site MD deems appropriate to receive such a service
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Manpower analysis and reporting
  • Lead the audit for all business areas for which this position would account. Ensuring business financial controls are adhered to and supporting evidence is in place
  • Experience of setting up and maintaining standard costing as well as variance analysis and reporting
  • Waste analysis, both physical and time
  • Support the commercial process with financial input into the quotation process
  • To challenge inefficiency, promote innovation and focus on value creation for the company at all times
  • To lead, motivate and coach your direct reports
  • Perform all duties upholding the highest ethical and professional standards
  • Work between the Bristol/London sites in a 60/40 split throughout the week

Key attributes
  • Qualified Accountant with three years + experience
  • 3 - 4 years management experience
  • Well organised, ability to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills - written and oral
  • Commercial and entrepreneurial thinking
  • Experience in manufacturing environment desirable

Salary & Benefits
  • £50,000 - £55,000, Pension scheme and Health-care
