Find the Job you're looking for…
With so many jobs online, finding the right selection can be quite a task! We've tried to keep the search as simple as possible but here are some useful tips to help you refine your results:
On the
advanced search page you can enter additional information to help reduce the number of jobs listed and retrieve more accurate results.
Using keywords
Keywords can be any words employers and recruiters use to advertise a job. They appear in the job title or in the body of the advertisement.
To list advertisements that closely match your ideal job, use words that describe the job you're actually looking for.
You can use any words as keywords, even common acronyms such as CIMA.
Examples of keywords are:
When you type in a keyword, we also list advertisements with words that mean the same thing. So typing marketing will list jobs for marketers, programmers will list programming, Admin will list Administration and so on....
Keywords are not case sensitive
Searching for an exact phrase
To find advertisements containing an exact match to a phrase – for example a 'job title', use quotes around the words.
Typing "financial business analyst" will list all advertisements that contain the exact phrase financial business analyst.
Using "All Words"
Select "All Words" if you want to list advertisements containing all of your keywords.
You'll need to use quotation marks if you want to find an advertisement with an exact phrase.
Using "Any Words"
Select "Any Words" if you want to list advertisements containing one or more of your keywords.
Removing irrelevant items and refining a search
If you think your search will bring up jobs you don't want, you can remove irrelevant keywords from your search by typing in "-" then the keyword you would like to remove.
For example:
marketing -telemarketing will list advertisements with the word marketing but not telemarketing.
Using brackets will also narrow your list of jobs.
Typing
public relations (media, advertising) will list advertisements with both words public relations and at least one word in the brackets.
You'll need to select "All Words" to run this, and the words in the brackets have a comma but no space between them.
Search using City, Town or Suburb
Leaving the location fields blank will bring up all jobs regardless of location.
Type your county, city or town to limit your search to these locations.
Check your spelling and choose the correct state and country if there is more than one place with the same name.
Leaving the radius blank when you use advanced search will only list jobs in your chosen location. You can select a radius to widen your search.
Posted Within
The 'Posted Within' field allows you to limit your search to jobs that have been posted within a particular timeframe. You should choose the desired timeframe from the dropdown or choose ALL when you don't want to limit your search by the date posted.
